Consider taking Historic Milwaukee’s student tour guide training. Teach young children Milwaukee’s fascinating history and give them a view of Downtown Milwaukee they have never seen before!
If you have time during the day or could with advance notice, consider being a tour guide. Passing on the stories of our city’s past to the children that will one day decide its future.

Special: Receive 25% off of the regular price of our Biennial Guide Training Program (An 8 week intensive course, with great speakers such as John Gurda) when you take our student tour training course and give the tour at least 3 times throughout the summer.

Intensive Training Course for Student Tour Guides

10:00 am - Registration/Power Point Presentation from HMI Guides
- Overview of student tour highlighting important points of interest. What buildings/locations are most important to the tour? What places are best to stop and talk to the students?

11:00 – Q & A section with Guides and break (15 min)

12:00 – Lunch

1:00 – Walking Tour

2:30 – Break (15 min)

2:45 – Linda Tiezza Waldera – Engaging students on field trips.
