Brady Street
Sundays, 3:00pm
This East Side neighborhood with its Polish and Italian working class communities, briefly became Milwaukee’s counter-culture stronghold in the 60’s and 70’s.

See diverse architectural styles, from the massive arches of the old Federal Building to the sleek lines of the 20th century high rise office structures. In 2009, HMI highlighted the Pfister Hotel and the Marcus Corporation as our Remarkable Milwaukee Honorees for the beautiful preservation of the Historic Pfister Hotel.
Where to Meet: Meet inside the Wisconsin Avenue entrance of the Pfister Hotel.

North Avenue was the northernmost boundary of the city of Milwaukee when it was incorporated in 1846 and thus became known as “North Point”. Find out the history of one of the most bustling commercial and residential areas in the city and pick up fresh flowers or veggies at the East Side Open Market. Meet at the S.E. corner of Kenilworth Avenue and North Avenue.

The homes found in the North Point neighborhood with its fairy tale water tower run the gamut from Tudor to Wright’s prairie style.

German Heritage
Old World Third Street has buildings from the late 1800’s with a distinctly Teutonic flavor. Hear about and view businesses and locales instrumental in making the city into a “Deutsche Athens.” Meet in front of Turner Hall, 1034 N. 4th St.
